Centaurus is built with your privacy in mind. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. By using Centaurus, you agree to this policy.

Data we collect

  • Account information: Your name and email address when you sign in with Google.
  • Usage data: Aggregate information about how you use Centaurus — which features you use, session length, and model selection. We use this to improve the product.
  • Support tickets: Messages you send through our support form, including any browser and OS metadata you consent to share.
  • Billing data: Subscription and payment information processed securely through Razorpay or PayPal. We do not store card numbers.

Data we do not collect

  • We do not store the content of your conversations or the code you work on.
  • We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
  • We do not use your data to train AI models.

How we use your data

We use your data to provide and improve the Centaurus service, process payments, send important account notifications, and respond to support requests. We do not use your data for advertising.

Data storage and security

Your account data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure. Conversation history is stored locally on your device in encrypted form under ~/.centaurus/. We use industry-standard encryption for all data in transit.

Third-party services

Centaurus uses the following third-party services:

  • Google OAuth — for sign-in authentication
  • Razorpay / PayPal — for payment processing
  • Anthropic, Google, and other AI providers — for processing AI requests

Each service operates under its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at our support page. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a notice in the app.
