Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
Agreement
By downloading, installing, or using Centaurus, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Centaurus.
What Centaurus provides
Centaurus is an AI coding assistant delivered as a terminal CLI application and associated web services. We provide access to AI models through cloud providers and tools to help you write, search, and ship code. Features vary by subscription plan.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Centaurus. You agree not to share your account credentials or use another person's account without permission.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Centaurus only for lawful purposes. You must not use Centaurus to:
- Generate, distribute, or facilitate harmful, illegal, or fraudulent content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse our services
- Circumvent usage limits or billing controls
- Violate the terms of any AI model providers we use
Billing and subscriptions
Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly. You can cancel at any time — your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you've paid for. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support if you believe you've been incorrectly charged. We reserve the right to update pricing with advance notice.
Usage balance
Cloud AI usage is measured by a usage balance included with your plan. Your monthly balance refreshes automatically and unused monthly balance does not roll over. Add-on usage purchased separately does not expire at the monthly refresh. We reserve the right to adjust plan inclusions with advance notice.
Intellectual property
You retain full ownership of code and content you create with Centaurus. We do not claim any rights to your output. The Centaurus name, logo, and software are our intellectual property.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Centaurus is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated suggestions may contain errors — always review before using in production. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of Centaurus, including data loss or code errors, to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Centaurus after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be communicated in advance.
